Bo Cox has written inspirational and down-to-earth meditations for Forward Movement for nearly twenty years. His first set of reflections were published in Forward Day by Day in 1995, when he was still serving a life sentence for first-degree murder. He quickly became one of Forward Movement's most popular writers and has written for nine months of Forward Day by Day, meditations for Lent, a collection of essays titled God is Not In the Thesaurus: Stories from an Oklahoma Prison, and as a contributor to other books.
Released from prison in 2003, Bo enjoys life with his wife in their home near Norman, Oklahoma-a sanctuary nestled in the woods. Bo leads therapeutic activities at a psychiatric hospital. He also serves as a consultant to St. Alban's School in Washington, D.C.
